Burning the Candle at both ends

WIne tastings sydney

Now it may just be us, but this has been a pretty hectic time of year.

Not just us? Ok, good!

The run up to Christmas is pretty brutal, as you put in hour after hour trying to get everything done before the break.

Then the moment Christmas arrives you're supposed to RELAX. Has all that stress gone? Feeling calm? No?! Well you should - it's Christmas!

If you're anything like us, Party Season means more social engagements. Christmas parties, catching up with family, friends, people you haven't seen for ages, networking, 'oh let's just have a quick drink'.... ah it's endless!

And it can also mean a lot of booze. A few drinks here and there most nights of the week, interspersed with the 5 hour events that really don't help!

Then the other day I'd had enough.

I don't want anything more to drink.

No wines, no beers, nothing.

This isn't what I like about drinking. Endlessly pouring glass after glass down your neck and pretending it's great. Relax, chill out, it's time for CELEBRATING.

There must be more than this.

I like the feeling a good wine gives me. The 5 minutes off from the world or a decent drink shared with some mates. The thing about a good wine that just makes you smile. That sets it apart from just being alcohol.

We've now now finished events for the year, and we'll be starting up again in mid-late January. Like you, all three of us can't wait to have a bit of time off without the glass after glass, night after night!

We can't wait to reconnect with what we love about wine, and about sharing that experience with other people who feel the same way.

When we're back in Jan, we'd love to see you. We'd love to share a glass with those people who also enjoy wine and drinking for what it is (rather than what several gallons will do to you), to learn a bit and meet some other like-minded people.

In the meantime, we hope you have a fantastic Christmas and New Year!

Cheers, Andy
